Arrowhead Subsidiary, Insert Therapeutics, to Present at Institutional Investor Conference
PASADENA, California – May 17, 2007 – Arrowhead Research Corporation (Nasdaq: ARWR) announced today that Edward Jacobs, Chief Executive Officer and President of Insert Therapeutics, a majority owned subsidiary of Arrowhead, will present at the May 18th Annual Institutional Investor Conference at the Princeton Club in New York City on May 22, 2007. Mr. Jacobs' presentation entitled "Insert Therapeutics Product Development Update" will highlight Insert's progress in using its proprietary polymeric transport system, Cyclosert™, to design, develop and commercialize nanoparticle-enhanced small-molecule therapeutics. Insert's lead drug candidate, a combination of its linear, cylodextrin-based polymer and the anti-cancer compound camptothecin, entered the clinic in 2006.
Mr. Jacobs has been the Chief Executive Officer of Insert Therapeutics since January 2007. Prior to joining Insert, he held CEO positions at a number of life science companies and has more than 20 years of executive level pharma and biotech experience, with particular emphasis in the oncology space, as well as strategic planning and marketing. He has successfully led several biotech companies to acquisition by major pharmaceutical companies and secured substantial collaborations and licensing deals.
