Homing Peptides
siRNA Targeting
Arrowhead's lead siRNA delivery technologies, the Dynamic Polyconjugates (DPCs) and RONDEL, are both actively targeted delivery vehicles that incorporate targeting molecules on their surface to direct them to cell type or tissue of interest. This is a key distinguishing feature versus other competitors' delivery technologies. The ability to selectively reach rapidly internalizing receptors while avoiding non-specific uptake has the potential to make siRNA therapeutics more efficient through potentially lower required dose levels. Arrowhead plans to deploy Homing Peptides from its proprietary library as targeting ligands in its next generation of siRNA therapeutics.
PDC Targeting and Additional Applications
The vast and growing proprietary library of Homing Peptides™ and numerous novel cell surface targets provide Arrowhead with building blocks for its own internal pipeline of PDC and siRNA drug candidates as well as opportunities to out-license or collaborate with partners on non-focus area applications. These areas may include mAbs and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), diagnostics, and non-tumor tissue targeting for other diseases.

Lead Targets for Development

Clinical proof of concept with IL-11R Homing Peptide
- Discovered in prostate biopsy from first screening patient
- Proof of concept study in heavily pre-treated metastatic prostate cancer patients with BMTP-11 candidate
- Marrow biopsies pre-treatment to confirm metastases and post-treatment to assess targeting
- Scientific manuscript submitted for publication
